ORGANIZED CRIME MULTI AGENCY INVESTIGATION

Just before midnight on 12/9/21, four persons entered the fenced area of Russell Drilling, located at 15286 US Highway 259, Nacogdoches, Texas. Tools were stolen from the property as well as a white 1995 Dodge Ram ¾ ton extended cab truck bearing TXLP CWJ2692. The stolen truck also had a Ranch Hand bumper on the front of it. Approximately one hour later, the white 1995 Dodge Ram ¾ ton extended cab truck was observed travelling with what is believed to be a 2003-2005 silver Dodge Ram 3500 2wd dually on the northwest loop in Nacogdoches. The 2003-2005 silver Dodge Ram 3500 2wd dually then forcibly entered the property of 402 NW Stallings Dr, Nacogdoches, Texas and the actors travelling in the truck unsuccessfully attempted to steal a travel trailer from the business. NACOGDOCHES POLICE DEPARTMENT IS ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC'S HELP IN THEIR INVESTIGATION OF A FATALITY HIT AND RUN AUTO PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT
NACOGDOCHES,TX (December 6, 2021): The Nacogdoches Police Department responded to a Major Accident on December 2, 2021 at around 5:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of South St. When our officers arrived to the scene they found an elderly adult victim lying in the roadway. Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported the victim in critical condition to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Our officers began searching the area for the vehicle that had struck the victim however the vehicle had fled the scene. The NPD Traffic Division responded to the scene to investigate and conduct the accident reconstruction. At this time we believe the vehicle that struck the victim may possibly be a 2007-2014 Chevy pickup with front end damage. The victim was identified to be Gerardo Castro 70 years of age from Nacogdoches, TX. Mr. Castro was pronounced deceased hours after arriving at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.

Wanted Felon on the run:
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office is looking for Anthony Joseph Piazza 26 years of age from Garrison , Texas who is wanted on the following charges:
Aggravated Assault (Family Violence) 1st degree felony
Assault (Impeding breathing) 3rd degree Felony

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night shortly before 9 p.m. The shooting has left one man in critical condition who remains in ICU.
A 911 call was received by the Nacogdoches County Combined Dispatch at 8:41 p.m. The caller sounded in distress but did not give much details of what had happened. A deputy with NCSO found the victim in his pickup truck on Cr. 823 a short distance from highway FM 343. EMS and fire responded to the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital. He was later transferred to another hospital in the East Texas area.
Deputies conducted a search of the area and found the shooting took place near Lone Star Church on Cr. 823. Detectives with NCSO and the Texas Rangers responded to the scene and processed the crime scene.
The victim has been identified as Breydi Gonzales, 20 years old from Center, Texas. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and arm. The motive for the shooting still remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
NPD SEEKING TIPS ON HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
The Nacogdoches Police Department is continuing their investigation into the drive-by shooting early this morning in the 1400 block of Dolph St. that resulted in the death of Kashena Kegler 38 years of age from Nacogdoches,Tx. Kashena Kegler was pronounced deceased at the hospital from multiple gunshot wounds.
